![]() ![]() Ignore the Queen's second guard, the fancy fellow with the mustache and the crazy-ricochet. Here's my advice on that, kill the Queen's gorilla-like guard ASAP both times. Go figure.ħ.) The hardest missions are the Queen's Guard and the Red Queen herself. The Royalists get explosive, so it's still challenging, but by then you'll have more skills and gear and they're easier to kill. And you're levels and gear suck at first. The big Scrappers that mend, especially the ones with the big metal shields can be crazy hard to kill. Elite actually gets easier as the game goes on. ![]() Failing to take down a unit within a single turn is a HUGE mistake, because it usually results in you taking damage.Ħ.) It gets easier. Try to find as many characters/guns who can kill those bastards instantly. For example, on the Voltbot part of Elite, the basic grunts have 11 health. Try to pick characters and guns that can one-shot the weakest enemy unit. Each phase of the game has characters with standard health. This includes treasures that are purely for selling.ĥ.) Now the really meaty advice. So you might as well wait until you're forced to sell stuff. At the end of a mission, when you get new swag, you'll have to sell them anyway. You won't lose guns and items when you fail a mission, so they're safe in your inventory. Which brings me to my next point.Ĥ.) Don't sell stuff just for money until you absolutely need to. But try to be sure you're buying something useful. This way if you fail, you won't lose nearly as much water. Also, replaying old missions gets you extra money and is a good way to make up lost gallons from failed missions.ģ.) This is advice I got from the other guy online: spend all the money you can before missions. Some missions will be easier with different team configurations and it's good to be able to swap out bots when one team fails. But it's REALLY helpful to have about 6 total characters who are leveling on par with each other. On every other difficulty, I only leveled 3 guys, with a fourth only coming in for four-man missions. You can skip casual difficulty, though, and if you're very confident, you can probably skip one in between, but be careful.Ģ.) While playing on Elite, it's a good idea to level up a large amount of characters. It also gives you the opportunity to try out every character and learn their strengths. It may take time, but it's worth the skills and tricks you learn along the way. I managed to beat the entire game with minimum difficulty Elite with only 11 mission failures, so my first bit of unofficial advice is: don't stress about it, it's really not as hard as you may think :)ġ.) Some may groan at this, but playing every single difficulty in order REALLY helps you adjust to the spike in difficulty step-by-step. This was partially thanks to some advice I found online, so I thought I'd do my best to pass on the few bits of wisdom I acquired. Okay, as of this morning, I officially beat SteamWorld Heist on all difficulties, including Elite.
